When managing COR is not something you do every day, it’s hard to know how long certification will take.
The top 3 things that delay certification? ⏰
1️⃣ Securing the right external auditor: Finding an auditor that’s available, experienced and understands the type of work you do
2️⃣ Communication time with IHSA: Without the right preparation and clear documentation, many applicants spend a lot of time in this stage clarifying their submission, or asking questions about information that can often be found online
3️⃣ The time between the external audit and receiving your certificate: There are numerous factors that will affect how quickly you receive your certificate including corrective actions, review of the final report by IHSA and the number of other applicants being processed by IHSA during that time.
It’s important to be conservative when estimating how many weeks you’ll need to manage expectations and keep everyone on track 🏃♂️🏃♀️
